March 2024 brought perfect weather and an epic off-road escape through Southern California's rugged backcountry. We kicked off the adventure in Berdoo Canyon, a rocky, narrow trail that winds its way into the southern entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. The trail threw everything at us—tight squeezes, technical rock crawling, and steep, washed-out climbs—but the reward was unbeatable: entering the heart of Joshua Tree through one of its most remote and scenic routes.
After conquering Berdoo’s rock-strewn challenges, we shifted gears and made our way to the iconic Bradshaw Trail. This old stagecoach route turned off-road playground stretches across miles of open desert, offering high-speed runs, deep sand washes, and panoramic views that feel endless. It was the perfect contrast—technical slow-speed crawling in the canyon, followed by fast-paced desert cruising under wide blue skies.
Two trails, two very different vibes—connected by the shared thrill of adventure, dust, and horsepower. This trip reminded us why SoCal remains a mecca for off-roaders: remote, raw, and ready for anything.
