In May 2025, we took a short but memorable trip down Colorado’s Switzerland Trail—a usually easygoing off-road route that took on a completely different feel thanks to steady drizzle and thick fog.
The trail was damp but manageable, with just enough rain to keep the dust down and bring out the rich colors of the forest. Fog rolled in early and stuck around, limiting visibility to just a few dozen feet in places. It made for a quiet, moody atmosphere as we crawled through pine and aspen groves, with slick rocks and wet gravel adding a little extra challenge to the otherwise mellow route.
One major highlight was how well the Baja Designs off-road lights performed. With standard headlights struggling in the dense fog, the Baja beams cut cleanly through the mist, giving us solid visibility around corners and through shaded sections of the trail. They made a huge difference in both safety and comfort during the drive.
Overall, it was a short, scenic run with a peaceful vibe—proof that even a mild trail can offer something special when the weather adds its own layer of challenge.
