July 2025 was packed with back-to-back off-road action, starting with a quick hit to New Idria Trail at the beginning of the month. Tucked away in Central California’s rugged hills, New Idria served up a perfect dose of dusty trail runs, rocky climbs, and eerie abandoned mining history. The remote landscape and quiet isolation made it feel like we had the whole place to ourselves—a short but solid shake-up to kick off the month.
The following weekend, we loaded up again for a bigger adventure. Friday night was spent camping under the stars on TV Tower Road near San Luis Obispo, with sweeping coastal views and cool summer air setting the perfect vibe. As the sun rose Saturday, we made our way south to Pismo Beach to hit the legendary dunes.
Pismo delivered in full. We roamed wide-open sand bowls, steep drop-ins, and miles of rolling terrain—pushing all the way to the farthest reaches of the dune system. With ocean views on one side and endless sand on the other, it felt like the edge of the world.
From the dusty trails of New Idria to the wind-swept dunes of Pismo, July was a reminder that California’s off-road offerings are as diverse as they are unforgettable—one weekend at a time.
